Edinburgh's weekly ukulele jam

I'm a Believer, last night at the Kilderkin

1 min read

The back room of the Kilderkin, January 2024, and as it turned out, our last night in it. Twelve years of Edinburgh pubs come and gone (the White Horse, the Pear Tree, the Blue Blazer) and here we were again, packing the ukes away to wander on.

As someone put it on the night: “though we wander in the wilderness, yet we will strum on.” Next stop the Strathmore Bar on Iona Street, where we still pitch up every Wednesday.

No leader, no agenda, just a full room and a closing singalong. We saw the old place out with The Monkees, and not a cynic in the house.
